I know my fiance has bought me some expensive make-up for Christmas. What he is not aware of is the fact last time I used it, it brought me out in a nasty allergic skin reaction. Do you think I should go ahead and apply it to my face so as not to offend him? I thought maybe if I took an anti-histamine pill, that would stop it creating the rash.
No, I don't think taking an anti-allergy pill would help much. Skin reactions to cosmetics are quite common and the only thing you can do is to avoid the product in future. My advice: give your fiance a big kiss and thank him for the lovely present. Then go and change it at the shop.
