POLICE are appealing for witnesses after cash was stolen from a property in Newhaven.
Officers were called to a house in Lewes Road on Friday, May 28, after it was discovered a quantity of cash was missing from the address.
The money went missing sometime between Monday, May 24 and Friday, May 28.
It is believed the suspect left the property through a groundfloor window which opens out onto Lewes Road, and which is in view of the busy A259.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area during the week, or who has any other information that may assist the investigation is asked to get in touch.
