I WAS very interested to read the article in The Argus (June 1) about Rolls-Royce building the most expensive car in the world.

At a cost of £20 million it includes a huge umbrella that opens out at the back.

While we have all been urged to do what we can to save our precious planet, this car has a 675 litre V12 engine which produces 570 horse-power and a top speed of 155mph.

The leather fittings are made from the hides of "stress-free" cows in Bavaria. I expect the cows were somewhat stressed whilst being killed.

It beggars belief that cars like this are being built to satisfy the whims of people who have a great deal more money than sense.
