AUTHORS will be giving people the chance to get their novels signed this weekend.

Heather and Tony Flood from Eastbourne will be hosting a book launch together on Saturday. Heather has just released her newest children's book Mousey Mousey and the Witches' secrets.

The book is the third in the series, and she will be giving a reading to people at 1 pm. The whole collection will be available along with Heather's other books, which will be on sale for £5 each.

Heather's Purple Mist is for both older children and adults.

Former Coronation Street star Brian Capron has recommended the novel.

He said: "Don't you just love it when bullies get their comeuppance?

"That's just the start to Purple Mist, a wonderful adventure story full of thrills and spills that is literally out of this world."

Tony will also be offering his books at a reduced price. This offer will be for his fantasy adventure Secret Potion and crime thrillers Triple Tease and Stitch Up! - Killer or Victim? There will also be his celebrity book My Life With The Stars – Sizzling Secrets Spilled.

Tony provides stories about showbiz and sports personalities, including Elvis Presley, Eric Morecambe, Joan Collins, George Best, Kylie Minogue, Muhammad Ali and a host of others.

The couple's books have risen to the top of the respective Amazon categories and have received praise from fellow authors Ellie Dean and Peter James.

The launch will be taking place at Cafe Old Town in Star Road, Eastbourne from noon until 2 pm. Cafe owner Chris Kelly said: "We are delighted to give our customers the chance to meet two successful local authors and buy their books at specially reduced prices if they wish.

"It's our first book launch and drop-ins are welcome."

Cafe Old Town will be providing a selection of homemade hot and cold food and refreshments, including fresh stews, toasties, cakes, scones and salads.
