AN ACCUSED man has been told he faces trial for murder later this year.
Seyed Tabarhosseini is alleged to have killed Darren Alderton at a property in Magdalen Road, Hastings.
Police were called to the address after the body of 51-year-old Mr Alderton was found on April 8 this year.
Tabarhosseini was arrested and charged on suspicion of murder as detectives launched Operation Leaf.
The 37-year-old appeared before Her Honour Judge Christine Laing QC at Lewes Crown Court on June 8.
Wearing a grey sweatshirt, he spoke to confirm his name and entered a not guilty plea when the charge of murder was read out.
It is alleged that Tabarhosseini murdered Mr Alderton in Hastings on April 6.
He was represented by barrister Alan Kent QC at the plea hearing.
Philip Bennetts QC represented the Crown Prosecution Service.
Tabarhosseini, of no fixed address, was told he will face a trial over the allegation.
Judge Laing said the trial is likely to take place on November 15.
