FOOTAGE of a daredevil tortoise has gone viral after it took on a challenge in its playpen.

Sybil has been viewed three million times enjoying herself at the Fishers Adventure Farm Park in Wisborough Green, Sussex.

A video shared by the family-run park on Facebook shows her roaming around her pen and taking on a downhill slide.

But one thrill was clearly not enough for Sybil, who then walks back up the ramp to go down the slide for a second time.

The park’s marketing manager Nicola Harris said went to get pictures of Sybil and her fellow tortoise Eric in the animal barn.

There she saw how Sybil was out looking for thrills, and captured the moment on video.

Footage posted on the farm’s Facebook page has been shared more than 60,000 times and viewed by millions.

Nicola said: “I discovered Sybil taking on a purposeful thrill-seeking circuit of the pen, including the tortoise slide.

“She walked through her tunnel to the top of the walkway to her slide, then sliding down, no matter who was in her way.”

Farm park director Tom Rollings said: “Sybil was straight onto the slide as soon as we added it, and she’s always the fastest of the two tortoises when they’re outside playing in their field too - she’s quite a character.

“The vet has confirmed that she is happy, healthy and is clearly choosing to live life to the full with her new sliding antics.

“I think we could all do with taking a leaf out of Sybil’s book.”
