A GIANT inflatable obstacle course is set to entertain the whole family this summer.

The South of England Showground in Ardingly will be the first location for the Labyrinth Challenge Summer XL attraction. The announcement comes as large scale events are preparing to return when Covid-19 restrictions loosen.

The event will include the record-breaking 1,000ft long obstacle course, which has more than 30 obstacles in five-themed zones. The organisers will also be adding a circus and a funfair for families.

Happy's Circus - a traditional circus that fundraises for schools and charities - will put on a 45-minute show featuring international acrobats, trapeze artists, and other speciality acts in a socially distanced Big Top.

Trevor Collins from the Labyrinth Challenge Summer XL said: "This is the family event of the summer, and we're thrilled to be bringing it to West Sussex.

"Thousands across the county have already enjoyed the hurdles, climbing walls, tunnels and slides of the Labyrinth Challenge but this year we wanted to do something bigger while still keeping it affordable for families.

"There's flexible ticketing available with a number of options, including an adult-only session for the Labyrinth Challenge on the Saturday night and a mini version of the inflatable course for those aged between five and nine.

"With free parking and refreshments on site, we hope people will make a day of it. You never know they may even need to bring their sun cream."

The Labyrinth Challenge Summer XL is taking place between August 5 and 8. The event will open at 10 am and run until 5 pm, besides the Saturday evening, which will be an adult only session.

Entrance to the event will cost £3; rides will be operating on a token basis at an additional charge. The Labyrinth Challenge and circus will cost £10 each or £14 for both.
