A CIRCUS has confirmed the show will go on despite recent announcements from the government.
It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed that the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions would be delayed by a further four weeks and that total relaxation of rules will be postponed until July 19.
Events that are Covid secure such as the Continental Circus Berlin are still allowed to go ahead as long as people are not sitting in bubbles of more than six.
The guest appearance by The Circus of Horrors on June 19 at 8pm is also going ahead as planned.
The circus is already operating with these rules in mind, with the audience sitting in their own family bubbles, and a one-way system operating inside the big top tent, which is sanitised regularly and thoroughly.
There are also floor markings and hand sanitising stations installed, with the organisers promising a good airflow in and of the tent.
People must wear face coverings, and those in each group must give their name and phone number for track and trace purposes.
There is also a track and trace QR code in place for customers to scan.
A spokesman said: "Our aim is to make the audience feel safe whilst having a great time.
"We believe we are safer than a supermarket and look forward to welcoming the lovely people of Brighton from June 16 until 23."
Earlier this week, the circus offered free tickets to NHS and care workers.
However, those that missed out can still grab tickets for the show on Saturday, June 19.
This show will feature the guest appearance from the Circus of Horrors, which combines horror, black comedy and rock and roll with circus acts.
