What planet do the Green Party live on?

We had a leaflet put through our door today regarding Brighton and Hove Green City Council, who unofficially have decided that they will be the first to make a UK car-free city - by banning all cars by 2023.

So that gives them 18 months to sort it, good luck.

It was on January 29,1886, that the first vehicle, powered by a gas engine, got a patent. So in the next 18 months, the Green Party are hoping to get rid of millions of our cars - where are they going to put them all? Landfill? Dream on it isn't a possibility.

How do we get around, Green Party? Public transport perhaps? Trains get packed at rush hours now, a nightmare.

Delivery people - posties, other companies that deliver goods to people, supermarket deliveries, taxis to name a few. - I think you get my gist.

What about disabled people, how would they manage? I know if I didn't have my mobility car I would be housebound. There would not be taxis as most are cars.

OK they are designing electric cars, which give no emissions off, but how long will it take to make enough cars for everyone who has one.

Have the Green Party really thought this through? Get rid of every car? Where are they going to get the money they now get for cars? Road tax, parking meters, parking fines etc.
