THREE women suspected of trying to steal an £8,000 Rolex from a pensioner have been charged.
Officers were flagged down by a man in Lavant Road, Chichester, at 10.45am on June 15, to a report that three women attempted to take his Rolex watch, worth £8,000.
The 74-year-old suffered a minor injury to his arm in the incident.
Three suspects were swiftly arrested by officers nearby.
Cassandra Dimitri, 22, of Nutfield Place, Portsmouth, Minodra Marin, 21, of New Road, Portsmouth, and Mihaela Petre, 28, of Nutfield Place, Portsmouth, were charged with attempted robbery.
They appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 16 and were released on conditional bail to appear at Lewes Crown Court on July 14.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Anyone with information can report online or call 101."
