A SECTION of the A22 in Maresfield has been closed after a collision understood to be between a bike and a lorry.
Police were called to the collision between Batts Bridge roundabout and Blackdown roundabout.
The road was closed from 10.30am as emergency services attended the scene.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area while services deal with the incident.

Writing on Twitter, a Sussex Police spokesman said: "Batts Bridge roundabout closed as of 10:30am and Blackdown roundabout road closed between the two.
"The A22 is currently closed between the two roundabouts due to road accident, for now, please avoid the area."
According to the AA traffic report, traffic is coping well.
A spokesman said: "Road closed due to an accident between a lorry and a cyclist on the A22, both ways between A26 (Black Down roundabout) and Batts Bridge Roundabout.
"Traffic is coping well."
