A BMW driver who crashed up the side of an embankment "didn't stop to say hello" to police.

These pictures show how the motorist went off the A27 in Hove and ended up with his car in a bush.

Police said it had been a "very lucky escape" for the driver who got out of his car with "very minor" injuries.

He is now in custody on suspicion of a number of offences including failing to provide a breath specimen.

There is currently some disruption on the roads while the car is recovered from the embankment.
