A LUXURY sports car worth almost £200,000 has been seized by police after it was caught racing other vehicles at high speed.

Officers from Sussex Police took the suspected black Bentley Continental GT off the road after it was spotted driving antisocially in front of an unmarked police car.

Police watched as the driver revved the engine and raced other vehicles at speed.

In an image posted on Twitter, the luxury sports car, which is valued at £157,900 new, was loaded onto the back of a flatbed truck and taken away.

Sharing the post, Sussex Roads Police said: "If you drive antisocially, revving the engine, racing other vehicles at high speed, ESPECIALLY in front on an unmarked Police car then there is a high likelihood you’ll be walking home."

The sports car seizure comes just weeks after a McLaren 570s was seized after it was caught being driven by a disqualified driver with no insurance.

Officers from Sussex Police said the driver was "foolish" to attempt to drive the orange McLaren 570s uninsured and whilst disqualified.

The luxury coupe, which has a top speed of 203mph, is valued at £150,815 new.
