One lane of the A27 is closed
A CAR has burst into flames on a major carriageway.
One lane of the Eastbound carriageway on the A27 at Falmer is currently closed, as emergency services deal with the stricken vehicle.
Long-tail backs have been reported as a result of the closure, and several bus services have been impacted.

Police have warned motorists to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
A spokesman said: "We are currently in attendance at a vehicle fire on the Eastbound carriageway on A27 at Falmer.
"One lane is currently closed and long tailbacks reported. Please avoid the area and find an alternative route."
