POLICE are searching for a man after a theft from a Tesco store left one person with a head injury.

A member of the public suffered a head injury during the incident in Hazelwick Avenue, Crawley, around 1.30pm on June 8, which left him requiring hospital treatment.

Officers investigating the matter believe the man pictured could help with their enquiries.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, theft from a shop and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Anyone who recognises him, or who has any other information relating to what happened, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 850 of 08/06.
