The Argus: The proposal requests for changes to Newhaven High Street in order to keep it clear from parked vehicles

Many residents who are wheelchair users have complained that the issue of pavement parking prevents them from being able to access the high street.

A new loading bay and disabled bays are also being proposed in this area to facilitate loading provisions and parking for blue badge holders.

Ms Caulfield said: "Residents in Newhaven have for too long had to deal with pavement parking and I am glad that after years of calling on them to take actions that East Sussex County Council have listened to myself and the residents."
