A BOY aged 12 has been left with “life-changing injuries” after he was severely burned in an accident involving a barbecue.
Emergency services were called to an address in Kelsey Avenue, Southbourne, at 5.42pm on Sunday, July 11.
Police said initial reports suggested a 12-year-old boy had suffered severe burns in the incident at the West Sussex home.

The boy was taken by road to Southampton General Hospital with “potentially life-changing injuries”, according to a police spokeswoman.
Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the air ambulance also treated him at the scene.
Two adults also suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Crews from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance.
