LOVE ISLAND contestant Lucinda Strafford was left heartbroken after her partner made a dramatic exit from the villa last night.
The 21-year-old's love interest, Brad McClelland, left the ITV2 show when the pair were voted the least compatible couple by the public.
Brad and Lucinda were told that as a result of the vote one of them would have to leave, and it was up to them to decide which one of them would go home.
Brad, a labourer from Northumberland, offered to leave the villa so Lucinda could spend more time in the Mallorcan sunshine.
Lucinda, from Brighton, could have gone with Brad but instead chose to stay on the show.
Clearly upset by Brad's exit, Lucinda did question her decision to stay but decided that considering she had only been there a week, she was right to stay on.
If Lucinda fails to find love on the show and still likes Brad when she comes out, he will be waiting for her.
Brad said: "I'm kind of hoping she doesn't find love in there because maybe we can carry on from where we left off. I had a bit more time than her, so going off time alone, it's only fair that she got her fair shot at it.
"On the night, it was one of the situations where I didn't want her to leave with me. The way we had a connection, it would be really nice to take what we had and continue it on the outside.
"I woke up this morning, and I wish we had left together.
"I want to see where that could have gone. Not being able to speak to Lucinda or ask her where she's at, I want to know how she woke up this morning.
"I'd love to go to Brighton and meet these people we've spoken about and put the faces to names. Vice versa, bring her to Amble. Just see how we are on the outside."
Lucinda is now single in the villa and will have to find a new partner soon otherwise she will be at risk of being dumped from the island.
