AS A nurse heavily committed to providing Covid vaccinations, I was dismayed to find that out of 110 booked vaccinations at my GP hub on Saturday morning 38 did not attend.

How can this be?

Do these people not realise we are in the midst of a third wave and many people who have been doubled jabbed are contrating the Delta strain but thankfully not needing any hospital treatment.

Why would anyone decline a life-saving vaccine?

As a nurse working in the NHS for 50 years I have seen people, especially children, die from vaccine preventable diseases.

I and most health care professionals feel vaccines should be mandatory, especially in a global pandemic
