POLICE are looking for witnesses after a vulnerable woman was pushed around in a shopping trolley before being left in a park.

The vulnerable 21-year-old was put into the trolley in Springfield Road, Crawley, between 7pm and 8.30pm on June 24.

The attackers, who were other women of similar age, pushed the victim to the entrance of Goffs Park.

She got free there and ran towards the level crossing in Horsham Road at the junction of Springfield Road but could not get across as the barriers were closed.

The two suspects got hold of her again and pulled her back to the park, where they left her.

The three are known to each other.

PC Stefania Henderson said: β€œAt the time of this incident there were several vehicles waiting at the level crossing.

"If you were there or nearby and saw anything of what happened, perhaps without realising what was going on, please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1632 of 24/06.”
