Map reveals the most vaccinated neighbourhoods in Brighton

The map, which shows the total number of 1st and 2nd doses across Brighton and Hove reveals areas with the highest and lowest uptake.

It comes just weeks after the vaccination programme was rolled out to everyone over the age of 18, with all adults now able to have their jab.

The map shows the total number of vaccines given to everyone aged 18 and over across council areas in England.

It also shows a more detailed breakdown with vaccination figures broken down at almost postcode level by what's known as the Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs)

MSOA are areas smaller than local authorities and have an average population of 7,000.

Darker areas of the map represent areas with a higher percentage of vaccinated adults.

Overall in Brighton and Hove, 73 per cent of people have had their first vaccination and 54 per cent have had their second.

There are now walk-in vaccination sites across the city open this week for people to "grab a jab".

A spokeswoman for Sussex Covid-19 vaccination programme said: “Time is of the essence to get everyone the protection they need.

“Now that summer is here, the city is full of life again and vaccination is more important than ever to protect the most vulnerable in our communities.

“Brighton is a wonderful place which is why so many people visit the city every year, we’re pleased to be welcoming people back to the city but we have to balance the risk by getting the vaccination out to as many people as possible in the coming weeks.”
