Small Batch Bar and Kitchen will be open from 7.30am to 10pm every day and will offer coffee and breakfast in the mornings and its new Brighton’s Brunch menu throughout the day.

From 6pm to 10pm it will serve a new restaurant menu prepared by the Small Batch chefs alongside an offer of Brighton craft beers and East Sussex wines.

The announcement of the Small Batch restaurant is part of an expansion which is being led by its new owner Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor and is set to create more than 100 new jobs.

Rachel Hillel, director of operations at Small Batch, said “The creation of new jobs and the investment in new concepts to make Small Batch a favoured choice, not just for coffee, but for brunch and dinner, is driven by a desire to create a robust and sustainable business coming out of the pandemic.

“We are committed to continuing to invest in the Brighton and Hove area, with new hires, partnerships with local charities and broadening our offering of drinking and dining concepts.

“A key element of the new ownership is our commitment to community engagement, which plays an important part in Stefan’s approach to business.

“Small Batch began as a family business and has now returned to being a family business.”

Alongside the restaurant, Small Batch has also confirmed the launch of its brand-new Brighton Brunch menu.

The menu includes oat milk porridge with sweet fig caramelised in agave and dusted with cinnamon, almond and coconut granola, pancakes with Nutella and banana alongside traditional favourites such as poached eggs, muffins and the ultra-deluxe ‘Full on English’ breakfast alternative.

Small Batch has five branches across Brighton and Hove including in Seven Dials, Goldstone Villas and Western Road, Brighton.

It has recently launched new cafes in London, York and Bristol.
