REGARDING council leader Mac Cafferty's claims about rubbish. Firstly that there are clearly not enough litter bins and the ones that are positioned are not

always in "strategic positions" (ie near seafront shelters/outside the i360/bus tops etc).

Secondly, may I suggest Councillor Mac Cafferty takes a long hard look at what his Green councillors have done to our "beautiful beach and seafront"?

Due to the totally unnecessary additional cycle lane going west we now have the following

1 Hideous plastic bollards on the kerbs/parking bays that are now becoming "canvases" for the graffiti morons.

2 Orange/white posts that are constantly being broken and then replaced (I counted 15 or so left in the gutter a few weeks ago).

3 Sand bags weighing down signs for cyclists to use the new west direction lane.

4 "Emergency style" portable road signs, once again notifying cyclists of the new lane (many of which do not even use the new lane).

5 Masses of weeds/remains of bushes that are unsightly opposite the Metropole/Grand hotel section of the seafront.

6 General litter in the new west way cycle lane.

All in all it's a complete mess that totally spoils our "beautiful seafront". Mr Mac Cafferty should get out of his Green ivory tower and actually walk along this area and see what his idiotic policies have done to our seafront. It's a disgrace.
