POLICE have identified men in connection with a serious assault at a pub.
A man suffered “potentially life-changing eye injuries” in an assault at The Foundry in Southgate, Chichester in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police issued an appeal to identify two men believed to have been present at the time of the assault.
One man is now being treated as a witness and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Officers have also arrested a man on suspicion of wounding with intent.
He has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 447 of 02/08.
