TRAIN services between Brighton and Portsmouth have been suspended after a derailment in Fratton.

Delays and disruption is expected to services until the end of today after the incident took place near a train depot.

The derailment has blocked a number of trains from starting their service, with South Western Railway stating on Twitter that trains will run with fewer carriages and some will be cancelled.

The train operator advises commuters to check before they travel, adding that journeys will take longer and alternate routes may be necessary to avoid the disruption.
