FLOODING has blocked all train lines between Haywards Heath and Brighton.

Passengers travelling from the city and London can expect delays as an overnight downpour has flooded a section of the track.

Replacement busses have been requested but passengers are advised to change at Lewes due to their limited capacity.

Writing on Twitter, a spokesman from Southern Rail said: "All lines are blocked between Haywards Heath and Brighton due to flooding to the railway.

"Travelling between Brighton and Haywards Heath/London?

"We can still run between Lewes and Haywards Heath, so you should travel to Lewes and change there.

"We've requested replacement buses to run between Brighton and Haywards Heath - these to serve the stations in between."
