A SOCIAL media star has shared a glimpse of the cover of her new book.

Brighton-based YouTuber Zoella, real name Zoe Sugg, has amassed almost one billion views on her channel.

But she swapped her camera for pen and paper in October 2020, with the release of her first fiction novel The Magpie Society: One for Sorrow.

Co-authored with Amy McCulloch, the book details events at a boarding school from the points of view of two girls – Ivy, written by Zoe, and Audrey, written by Amy.

It was later announced that the release was to act as the first of a series, with a sequel titled The Magpie Society: Two for Joy to be released on this year.

Zoe took to social media on Thursday to share the first glimpse of the cover of the new book.

In a post on her Instagram page, which has 9.2 million followers, Zoe said: ”So so excited to share the cover of The Magpie Society - Two For Joy that both @amymccullochbooks and I poured our heart and souls into through lockdown.

“I can’t wait for you to read the next instalment and find out a bit more about what Audrey and Ivy discover next (sorry for the cliff hanger ending, you don’t have to wait much longer).”

The new book is available to pre-order from November 25 this year.

“It’s been so lovely reading your reviews and seeing you sharing the love for One for Sorrow and we are equally grateful for every share and pre-order this time around too, so thank you thank you thank you,” she added.

“It wasn’t easy writing this through my first trimester and a strict lockdown let me tell you. As always, it’s been a bloody pleasure getting to write alongside my friend Amy who was so patient with me when I had days of ‘Amy I can’t even open my laptop’.”
