Producers are looking for couples looking to explore an open relationship for a new show for Channel 4.

Firecracker Films, the British production company well-known for shows like Mums Make Porn, How the Other Kids Live and Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, are seeking couples who are in long-term relationships, but curious about exploring whether non-monogamy could strengthen their bond.

Open, the show’s working title, will ask whether monogamy is still the answer when 42 per cent of marriages now end in divorce.

Viewers will follow a group of monogamous couples, assisted by sex and relationship therapists, as they embark on a series of intimate workshops and dates, to discover whether the idea of having sex with other people works alongside maintaining a committed relationship.

A 2019 study by the University of Rochester found couples can have a successful open relationship, but that communication between all parties involved is essential in making it work.

Anyone interested in taking part should contact the producers at relationships@firecrackerfilms.com or at 07709 616280.
