POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses after an assault that left a man unconscious.
Officers were on patrol when they came across a man receiving medical attention outside The Vestry in South Street, Chichester around 1 am on August 14.
The man had lost consciousness following an altercation. He was treated at St Richard's Hospital and has since been discharged.
Three men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
They have since been released under investigation while officers continue to make enquiries.
