A TRAILER load of corn was left scattered across a main road after a tractor flipped its load yesterday.

Motorists travelling through Lewes were unable to pass after a tractor hauling the crop flipped in Winterbourne Hollow.

Pictures taken from the scene show the trailer overturned on its side, while its load remains scattered across the road.

A man surveying the spillage appears to be in some distress with his head down and hand on his knees while he leans against a wall.
