A MAN has been arrested after a little girl was grabbed while playing in the street and forced into bushes.
The six-year-old was approached by a man and attacked in an open area near Timberleys in Littlehampton at 5pm on Monday.
Police say the man forced the girl into some nearby bushes but made off a minute later.

It is believed he was distracted by relatives calling out for the girl.
The child was physically unharmed and ran back to family nearby.
She and her family are being supported by specially trained officers
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in Littlehampton on suspicion of child abduction, sexual assault and a separate common assault.
He is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
Arun and Chichester district commander chief inspector Jon Carter said; "This is an important development but our investigation continues and if you witnessed the incident or have any other information, please report online or by ringing 101, quoting Operation Assertive.
"The investigation is being pursued quickly and rigorously, and local officers are conducting increased patrols.
“Local people should continue to take sensible precautions to keep their children safe. If you see any suspicious behaviour around children call us on 999 at once."
Inspector Carter previously said the motive for this isolated incident was not clear.
