BURGER fans across our city are spoilt for choice today (August 26) for National Burger Day, with Brighton and Hove boasting a myriad of different options to enjoy.
From small street food vendors to high-end offerings, as well as a variety of different vegan alternatives on offer, Brighton burger lovers are fully catered for.
The Argus has compiled a list of some of the best burger joints in the city - as chosen by residents themselves through Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Grubbs
Despite only one branch left in the city, long-standing Brighton chain Grubbs still has a cult-like following in the city, with passionate fans of its burgers and sides.
Opening more than 40 years ago, the restaurant once boasted a range of more than 15 different burgers and still attracts many happy customers to its original store on Western Road.
Burger Brothers
Once holding the title of Britain’s best burger, it’s hardly any surprise that Burger Brothers is among the favourites among Brighton’s burger-hungry residents.
Tucked away in North Road, its lime green exterior is hard to miss and the food it produces is exceptional.
The takeaway infamously does not do sides, but the owner claims the burgers stand alone.

Uncle Sam’s
Based all across the city and Sussex, Uncle Sam’s has offered a range of classic hamburgers for close to half a decade.
From its chili burger and blue cheese burger to its Hawaiian burger with pineapple, Uncle Sam’s has quite the range to meet anyone’s tastes.
Really Happy Chicken
Brighton has become a hub for vegetarian and vegan outlets in recent years, with Really Happy Chicken taking the city by storm.
Since setting up less than a year ago, their range of vegan burgers and sides have been ranked as one of the UK’s best burger joints.
Lucky Beach Cafe
Is there anything better than enjoying a burger on our beautiful seafront?
Lucky Beach Cafe and its fans certainly don’t think so.
With local, sustainable and fresh ingredients, there is nothing to stop you from tucking right in.
