A LAMBRETTA has been stolen during the annual Brighton Mod Weekender.

The scooter with the registration of OVS 762 was reported stolen from Brighton Railway Station car park in Stroudley Road.

It had been chained and padlocked to the racks, but the padlock had been cut.

It is assumed that the scooter was lifted into a van.

British Transport Police are aware of the incident and CCTV enquiries are being completed.

The weekender started in Brighton yesterday, with hundreds of mods from all over the country flocking to the city.

Their scooters were lined up along Madeira Drive and crowds of bank holiday tourists gathered to watch the spectacle.
