A WOMAN was rescued by emergency services after a car flipped in Southwhick.
A black Audi was left damaged when it overturned in Southwick Road yesterday evening.
Pictures from the scene show emergency services, including fire crews, attending the stricken vehicle.
Debris can be seen scattered across the road, which is believed to have been temporarily closed while the vehicle was recovered.
Pictures show how a second car, a brown Skoda Fabia, was also damaged.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Emergency services were called over a report of an overturned car at Southwick Street at 7.30pm on Monday, August 30.
"West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service crews attended the scene where a woman was trapped inside the car.
"The extent of her injuries is not known. The vehicle was later recovered at 8pm."
