Dozens of emergency personnel including coastguard crews, as well as volunteers from Newhaven and Eastbourne RNLI, searched along the Seaford coast yesterday evening.

A coastguard helicopter was also tasked to join the search, which continued past 6pm.
A spokesperson for RNLI Newhaven Lifeboat Station said at the time: "A joint operation is currently taking place following a report of a missing person in the area."
A witness on the beach said the helicopter was seen flying up and down the beach, towards the Seven Sisters and back towards Newhaven Harbour.
