BRIGHTON Station is one of Britain’s most Instagrammed train stations, according to a recent survey.

The station, built in 1841, featured in a total of 5,902 posts on the social media platform.

However, the station missed out on a place in the top 10 in the list by Sheet Piling UK, with Bristol Temple Meads taking tenth with 2,600 more posts.

Seven of the top ten featured in the list are in London; with King’s Cross, Paddington and Waterloo taking the podium spots.

Brighton Station is the seventh-busiest train station outside of London, with an average of 17 million people passing through its gates every year.

The station features a large double-spanned curved glass and iron roof covering its eight platforms.
