FIRE crews are scaling down their response to a fire in a village near Bexhill.
Emergency services were called to a “serious fire” in Catsfield, with forces from Bexhill, Battle and Hastings in attendance.
In a tweet, Bexhill Fire Station said the response to the blaze had been scaled down to one pump.
However, they encouraged residents nearby to continue to keep their windows and doors closed, as there is still smoke in the air from the fire.
They also thanked residents for their understanding.
The incident has now been scaled down to 1 pump but please keep doors & windows closed as there's still smoke in the air from the fire. Thanks for your understanding. 👍🏻 pic.twitter.com/2I3TXKAs4s
