A CLINICAL hypnotherapist and a leading expert in narcissistic abuse recovery is among finalists in the Best Business Women Awards.

Ronia Fraser, from St Leonards, is an award-winning trauma recovery coach and has gained international recognition for her roadmap to recovery from narcissistic abuse.

The certified chartered accountant has worked over the last four years to help abuse survivors from across the world to get back on their feet.

Ronia said it was an honour to be shortlisted as a finalist in the Best New Business category.

“I’ve put all my blood, sweat and tears into building this business and it’s been all worth it,” she said.

“This is an incredible acknowledgement not only of my achievements as a business woman but also for the importance of my work, a topic that behind closed doors affects so many of us smart, successful strong women.”

Narcissistic abuse is one of the most common yet least acknowledged and understood forms of abuse, and is perpetrated by someone who suffers from narcissism or sociopathy.

Abusers of this nature tend to use words and language in a manipulative way to damage, alter or control their partner’s behaviour.

Organiser of the awards Debbie Gilbert said: “The businesswomen selected have been chosen for their business acumen, determination, creativity and tenacity.

“All our finalists are all shining examples of being successful entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges.”

The final will be held at the Hilton Wembley on October 15.
