THE Old Shoreham Road was closed after emergency services rushed to the scene of a collision.
Dozens of first responders including crews from Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene on the A270 last night.
Pictures taken from the road, which is used by hundreds of motorists every day, show the scale of the response, as police tape cordons off a section of the road.

An officer mans the cordon while emergency services work to investigate the incident.
The road is understood to have been reopened and traffic has returned to usual levels.
Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
