POLICE have confirmed the body of a man was found on a popular beach.
Officers were called to Marine Crescent in Goring-By-Sea at 6.30am on Friday, September 10.
“Officers attended and a man was sadly confirmed deceased,” a police spokesman said.
“Enquiries are ongoing and no further information is available at this time.”
Officers from Sussex Police were pictured at the scene near Sea Lane Cafe on Friday morning.
Pictures show dozens of officers on the pebbled beach and numerous police cars at the scene.
Several coastguard volunteers from HM Coastguard were also at the site.
