A MAN was left with a serious eye injury after a late night attack in a park.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, which took place at around 11.30pm on Thursday (September 9) in Horsham Park.
The 23-year-old-man, local to the area, was walking through the park near the ‘Kaya In The Park’ cafe, when he was attacked by two young men.
They punched and kicked him as he lay on the ground, stealing his mobile and his keys before fleeing the scene.
The man received hospital treatment for his injuries, including multiple fractures to an eye socket which will require specialist treatment.
The two men are described as being in their late teens or early twenties and were wearing black tracksuits.
Detective Constable Charlotte Carter said: “This was a vicious attack and our enquiries are continuing. We believe there were also several other youths of similar age present.
“The cafe was still open at the time and had a number of customers.
