BRIGHTON and Hove has among the most period properties for sale in the UK.

According to a recent study by Zoopla, the city has the most properties for sale with period pieces outside of London, with 24 per cent of homes up for sale having such features.

London dominated the rankings, with seven locations making it into the top ten. Haringey in north London topped the list, with 30 per cent of homes for sale there including features from the Edwardian, Victorian, Georgian and Tudor era.

Waltham Forest and Hammersmith and Fulham placed second and third with 28 per cent and 26 per cent respectively.

Hastings also featured in the top ten, with 22 per cent of properties including such historic features.
