BRIGHTON and Hove is one of the UK’s most luxurious cities, according to a recent study.

The report by Money.co.uk found that the city has the most Michelin restaurants in the country outside of London. However, its lack of a five star hotel and only one designer store saw it place seventh in the list.

Describing Brighton, the report said that the city “does not mess about.”

It said: “Make your way towards the seafront to enjoy award-winning food from Murmur, which is perfectly situated in the arches of the promenade where you can enjoy their signature lobster croquettes whilst sitting in the sunshine.

“Also near the seafront is The Salt Room, it covers all bases where food is concerned and offers incredible dishes on the ever-changing specials board.”

London, Manchester and Birmingham made up the top three, with the capital boasting 628 luxury venues - including The Ritz, The Savoy and The Shard’s Shangri-La.

Along with 156 five-star hotels, London has 100 stores from top designer brands and 372 Michelin-star restaurants.
