AN ELECTRICIAN is hoping to be crowned tradesperson of the year.

Dan Lloyd, from Brighton, has been shortlisted for the Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2021 award alongside nine of contestants from across the UK and Ireland.

With 15 years of experience as an electrician, Dan was selected for his passion for the trade, skills and determination to go above and beyond for his customers.

A two-day event will be held for the contestants to showcase their workmanship to the trade to a panel of judges.

The winner, who will win a trade bundle worth £20,000, will be announced at a virtual final later this month.

During the final, Dan will face a panel of industry-leading judges, including representatives from the NICEIC, CIPHE, FMB and the 2019 winner Darren McGhee.
