THIS was the scene in Brighton where a man was left with potentially life-changing leg injuries after being hit by a lorry.
Emergency services were called to Hollingdean Road in Brighton at 8.26am to reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.
A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital by the ambulance service with potentially life-changing leg injuries.
The road was closed in both directions but has since been reopened.
Video taken from the scene showed officers manning a cordon as blue tape marked a section of the road.
An articulated lorry was also inside the cordon, as officers worked to investigate the collision.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Anybody who witnessed the incident or has relevant dash-cam footage can contact police online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Nettle."
