A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed.
Emergency services were called to Baden Road, Brighton, at about 7.35am this morning.
The victim, a 41-year-old woman, had suffered a stab wound and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Sussex Police said her injuries are "not believed to be life-threatening".
A spokesman for the force said: "Initial enquiries led officers to a nearby address where a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and for the production of a controlled Class B drug after cannabis plants were discovered during a search of the property.
"He remains in police custody as of Sunday morning."
