ALBION defender Joel Veltman has poked fun at Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zaha on social media following last night's match.

The Eagles had looked set to end the Seagull's unbeaten away run after Zaha's penalty in the first-half, following a clumsy challenge by Leandro Trossard on Conor Gallagher.

After converting from the spot, Zaha cupped his ear at Albion fans who had travelled to Selhurst Park for the grudge match.

Albion improved in the second half, but did not look like scoring and, as the time ticked down, defeat looked inevitable.

That was until the 96th minute when Veltman received the ball on the halfway line and played a clever forward pass to Neal Maupay, who was running through on goal.

The French striker then lobbed Vicente Guaita to square the game and give his side a share of the spoils.

After the match, Veltman took to Instagram to celebrate the team's result and couldn't resist having a jab at Zaha.

The defender posted a message that said: "That feeling when you see Neal Maupay scoring at the last moment."

It was accompanied by a big smiling emoji and a picture of Veltman next to Zaha.

The Ivorian forward has a look of disbelief across his face at the fact his side had thrown away a victory that would have lifted them away from the relegation battle.

For the Seagulls, however, the draw means they maintain their positive start to the season.

The Albion are currently 6th in the Premier League table with 13 points.
