SIR Keir Starmer kicked back with a pint after his big closing speech yesterday.

The Labour leader visited Rockwater Hove on Wednesday following his "make or break" speech to mark the end of the Labour Party Conference 2021.

Footage filmed from within the venue shows Sir Keir being shown how to pour a pint of beer at the bar.

After a failed first attempt the leader eventually succeeded and even managed to get a decent head on it.

A member of the crowd joked that he can return at the same time tomorrow for a shift.

Sir Keir joked: "Oh yeah got the speech out the way now I can get a job."

The speech, which marked the closing of the conference, was the Starmer's first major speech since he took over the leadership from Jeremy Corbyn in April 2020.

The leader spent just under 90 minutes speech unveiling new policies and making several attacks on PM Boris Johnson branding him a "trivial man" and a "showman with nothing left to show".

Sir Keir also described how his “family life taught me about the dignity of work and the nobility of care” and spoke of his mother’s experience with Still’s disease in a tribute to the NHS.

His address, made at the Brighton Centre, was disrupted by some heckling, with the leader breaking from his script to say: “At this time on a Wednesday it’s normally the Tories that are heckling me, it doesn’t bother me then, and it doesn’t bother me now.”

He also mentioned the fact that he had waited more than 17 months to make the speech due to Covid.
