POLICE are on the scene of an incident and have closed part of Old Shoreham Road, Hove.

Officers have closed off the road leading westbound, by the Homebase store.

Police remain on the scene, pictures show two cars have collided and an ambulance is also present.

Reports first came in of the road closure at around 5.30pm this evening.

Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
