A LUXURY clothes retailer has opened a new store in Brighton.

A Flannels shop which is owned by Frasers Group plc, a retail and intellectual property group, opened in Western Road, Brighton on Friday.

The shop houses three floors of men's, women's and junior designer clothing and accessories from luxury brands such as Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Burberry, Tom Ford and Versace.

Lauren Barrie, group head of Luxury Retail Development at Frasers Group, said: "Continuing the momentum from our flagship stores, we're really proud to open our next regional boutique in Brighton.

"The store further brings to life Flannels' vision in a physical space, through its unique design - providing an engaging shopping destination, with the biggest brands in luxury fashion and contemporary streetwear all under one roof."

The shop is now part of the Flannels portfolio which includes more than 55 other sites, the first of which opened in 1971 in the north of England.

These shops include its regional flagship stores in Sheffield and Leicester, which the company has said cements its commitment to bricks and mortar retail.

Alex McMillan, group head of Freehold Property at Frasers Group, said: "This new site in Brighton demonstrates our on-going commitment to bricks and mortar and investment significantly into key retail destinations.

"Frasers Group is dedicated to bringing an unrivalled shopping experience to customers, with the opening of new, vibrant and elevated stores across the UK."

The retailer is planning on opening another ten stores this year and ten more flagship branches by 2025.
